GEAR UP, which stands for Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs, is a federal program funded by the U.S. Department of Education whose mission is to significantly increase the number of low-income middle and high school students who are prepared to enter and succeed in post-secondary education.

Music Education Grants

The D’Addario Music Foundation seeks to award grants and product donations to sustainable music instruction programs to improve access to music education. Supported programs include those that bring music back into communities and schools, and programs that encourage students to engage in music education as early and as frequently as possible

Educators for Equity Grants

The NWEA Foundation seeks to provide grant funding to educators who seek to cultivate academic growth among underserved students. Proposals should aim to improve educational opportunities and outcomes. Program designs should be: (1) equity-focused, (2) evidence-based, and (3) culturally relevant. Grants of up to $10,000 will be awarded.
